I started the Worship Recording Academy because I’ve been to churches all over the country, and every worship leader I know writes his own songs and wishes he could record them well, using professional techniques which will yield professional results.
This was the case with Sam. He wanted to record his song, Psalm 77 (available here for streaming and iTunes purchase), so we got to work. After we did all of the pre-production work, I walked Sam through every aspect of recording his song and got it on video for your benefit.
Throughout the process, he asks all of the questions he has for clarification, which gave me opportunities to expound on concepts a little deeper. In the end, we came up with the final recording we used for Psalm 77 which I used for the final release.
I hope you find this interview informative or at least mildly entertaining.
